When you’re putting a space together it’s not always necessary to stick with just one style or one colour … mixing styles can be an excellent way to create an eclectic and stylish space. I’m a huge fan of mixing classical / vintage pieces with slightly more modern styles. I love this space below; it’s full of adventure and detail – the mix of vintage and new elements makes your eyes dart all over the space trying to take it all in!
Mixing Classical pieces with Modern
In this room the designer has combined modern elements – such as the furniture, with more classical aspects – the dark floor, wall moldings, crystal chandelier & wall sconces. There’s a huge array of textures going on in here too as well as pops and bursts of colour from the various accessories used to dress the room.
